Okay, I am jumping the gun and posting this an hour before Thursday because I need to go to bed and I don't get up early enough to make all of you happy.
For the last few years that I worked (retired in Jan. 98) I put on an annual New Year's Eve party hat contest. Not too many people showed up at work on NYE, mostly secretaries, and this was sort of a morale booster. I provided construction paper and other materials and people made wonderful creations. I would hit the stores after Christmas and pick up little things for prizes. The judges would look at all the hats as they were being constructed and think up appropriate categories so that each hat was a winner in its own category so everyone got a prize. This is me in last year's hat. (Editors note: Picture not included.)
Well, this was always a great deal of fun, so I though a cyber New Years Eve hat contest would be even more fun. So that is the theme. I have attached some basic hat shapes to get you started but feel free to use your own. I'm sure you will have no problems finding things to decorate them with. So have at it, make stationery, make hats, put them on people (or cats) or leave them off. Stretch them, scroll them, filter them, have fun.
Bet you thought you were going to get fractals, didn't you? Well, use fractals too if you want.
I am going to be tied up with family Friday and Saturday and maybe beyond, plans are not yet firm, and I imagine that is true for a lot of other people, so let's kind of let this go on into the first of the week. I sure won't be able to see and respond to posts till Sunday or Monday at the earliest except for a few Thursday if there are any. After all, we won't need these until New Years Eve <G> Maybe I can find some cyberprizes for you.
